The Endoscope Light Measurement System (Part No. ILT1490-ELMS) consists of a light meter, detector and adapters that interface the detector with endoscopic equipment common in surgical applications. It is compatible with all major manufacturers of Endoscopy light sources, fiber bundles and scopes including:
- Olympus
- Stryker
- Conmed
- Pentax
- Storz
- ACMI
The Endoscope Light Measurement System is very useful to Biomedical and Clinical Engineers responsible for the maintenance of endoscopy equipment. The system provides users with objective and repeatable measurement of the light output from each of the major components in the endoscope chain.
The light measurement data can be collected on a computer and used for predictive maintenance, endoscope performance tracking, and on-going QA/QC programs.
- Establishment of "hard data" based quality assurance/quality control of endoscopic devices.
- Reduced number of "insufficient light" failures in the OR.
- Qualify, re-qualify new and repaired endoscopes before use.
- Reduced number of unnecessary or premature lamp replacements.
- Accurate trending of performance changes in endoscopic devices and components.
- Quickly troubleshoot light-related endoscopic system failures.
The ILT1400 Light Meter combines the latest technical innovations in low level current amplification technology with microprocessor controlled simplicity. The onboard computer interrogates each "smart" detector for units, calibration and range information, automatically displaying a calibrated reading in the correct optical units.
The operating buttons are simple and straight forward, with all essential functions under microprocessor control. In addition to being user-friendly, the ILT1400 provides performance specifications unmatched by any other hand-held light meter on the market.
